The document needs to be prepared in English language. The manuscript needs to be documented, maintaining double-spacing between lines along with a large margin. All the pages of the document needs to be numbered in a sequence, including those containing figures, tabular columns, acknowledgements, references, etc. The documents containing the manuscript should be a single MS Word file. Consent confirming that the manuscript has not been published or is under consideration for publication with any other journal.
If the manuscript is being submitted as part of a special issue, then the special issue title needs to be mentioned in the cover letter along with the manuscript title.
An abstract must have a short and precise title that describes the nature of the investigation. An abstract of 200–250 words needs to be prepared giving a brief outline of the work that has been carried out.

Title of the paper
Author complete names
Complete mailing address of the institution
A brief introduction to the topic needs to be given, specifying the highlights of the study.
By submitting your manuscript to the journal, you give your consent for the materials described in the manuscript, which would include the complete data that will be freely available to researchers and scientists who intend to use it for non-commercial purpose, without violating participant’s confidentiality.
In this section, the authors can bring out their key experimental results, including any statistical analysis and whether or not the results of their study are significant.

The authors must seek the consent of the individual or contributors, whom they would like to mention in this section as a matter of courtesy.
The authors’ surname must be followed by their initials, the abbreviation et al is used after the first six authors names; followed by the title of the paper; then the title of the journal (abbreviated according to the style in the indexing platform [www.roa.nih.org]), if the journal is not indexed, the full title of the journal needs to be mentioned; year in which it was published; volume number; first and last page numbers. Punctuations need to be carefully and correctly used.

An Email along with the link directing to the proof in PDF format, which can be freely downloaded, would be sent to the corresponding author. Once the PDF is downloaded, the corrections need to be sent back to the concerned managing editor within 3 days. An Email notification needs to be sent if the article correction process would be delayed. Authors facing a challenge to make any corrections to the electronic copy may consider taking a printout and making the changes on the hard copy.
Articles published across the World Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research journals are freely available for potential readers to view and download. The article processing fee for World Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research is USD 1985-3600 (depending on the type of article, availbility of Funding Support, and the income status of the country), since World Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research is a self-supporting journal which uses a business model that includes Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover production costs incurred from administration for peer review publication, graphic conversion (PDF, XML, HTML), copy editing, hosting the journal online, archiving, indexing and covering journal production charges.
Article Processing Charges (APC) is charged to the author of the article that is being published. The amount varies between USD 1800-3600 depending on the type of article, availability of Funding Support, and the income status of the country.
There is no charge for the authors if they wish to withdraw their manuscript from initial stages of processing. However, the author needs to pay full amount as withdrawal charge if the article is under review stage or accepted for publication. This amount will be utilized to compensate the costs incurred during the process and publication.
Once the article is accepted by the journal, the APC is due on the author. Authors will have sufficient time from the date of submission to acceptance for deciding whether to continue publication or withdraw the submission. So, fee once paid will not be refunded at any situation as the journal publishes articles under Open Access platform, fee paid by the authors will be spent towards the costs associated with the process and publication.

At the external peer-review stage, the authors are required to send signed copies of the following statements:
A statement of Conflict of interest.
Written Acknowledgments — consent of cited content and individuals.
Personal communications — written consent of cited content and individuals.
IIn the event of usage of any copyrighted/protected material —A signed authorization from author and publisher.
A signed copy of the subject whose clinical images are presented for study.
